Tiger Woods Keeps on Manipulating Towards his Favor

Pro Golfer Tiger Woods has been preparing his comeback for sometime now, and the paparazzi have been ready to take that shot since a 'candid' picture of Tiger Woods would of fetched around $1,000,000 worldwide. The Paparazzi tried by air, land and sea to photograph Tiger after the Thanksgiving incident to no avail. The only 'candid' shot of Tiger Woods since the incident was the one released by the National Enquirer where he is walking around rehab. Although that picture did fetch a pretty penny, it would have been nothing compared to the first real, candid shot of Tiger returning to his normal life. Tiger has been very elusive with the paparazzi and has been one of the few celebs who can truly hide from the public eye.
In an effort to control his image as he always has, Tiger basically posed free for Getty Images as long as he had full control. Getty images ended up selling their pics for about $10 each and got a multi-year contract with the PGA. Tiger's move is like that of celebrities who release their 'own' first baby picture through twitter/facebook so that paparazzi aren't chasing them around town trying to get that first shot. Although the first picture of the baby decreases in value, the public 'still' wants that first candid shot, therefore making the picture that the celeb released just as worthless for the celebrity. If anything, it might entice the public to want the picture more. No matter what, a paparazzi picture of a celebrity like Tiger will still bring in some good money. Not the Holy Grail like it was at first, but definitely enough worth chasing for. Next the paparazzi will try to get the first candid family shot of Tiger Woods back with Elin and the kids. Although, I have a sneaky suspicion that Tiger has that in the plans too. Do you respect Tiger more now because he controlled his image this whole time? or Do you think he should concentrate on building trust back with Elin and his kids?
