Lindsay Lohan Finally Comes Clean

Wild actress Lindsay Lohan has had her share of run-ins with the police and rehabs, but the celebrity has always blamed other sources other than drugs for what caused her problems, mostly the paparazzi. Lindsay Lohan confesses that all those times she got into a car accident, three to be exact, she was taking some sort of mind altering drug. While speaking exclusively to the UK's Sun, Lindsay spilled the beans:

[Talking of the first time she was caught with cocaine, following a car smash in May 2007, she confesses]:

"It was in a purse and I was with friends. I wasn't trying to lie to police.

"I was only aware of cocaine because of my dad. I was terrified of it. But I tried it because I was stubborn, stupid, and wanted to see what it was like.

"It's not something I ever want to do again. It made me feel like s***. It became uninteresting to me. I'm hyper anyway and I have that kind of personality so I don't need something like that."

She continues to fess up and say that the first time she went into rehab was on her own account because she nearly drowned her own self while taking a bath. She says she had taken sleeping pill Ambien and had apparently past out and left the tub running. When she woke up, she was on the bathroom floor laying on a pool of water while water cascaded out of the bath. That incident gave her the first wake up call that sent her too her first rehab stint back in 2007.

On that scary incident Lindsay says:

"I went to rehab three times. The first time I checked myself in because I had taken Ambien. It's a sleeping aid but it makes you hallucinate.

"I'd run a bath and fallen asleep on the floor and the bath had overflowed.

"When I woke up I was so scared, I called my therapist and said, 'Can I just go somewhere for a month?

"I'm around bad people and I need to take care of myself'. I was terrified, so I put myself in."

On her second stint in rehab, Lindsay Lohan says the paparazzi are to blame for her second car accident, which was the cause for why she was sent back to rehab. When arrested, Lindsay admitted to having at least three drinks in her system and was found with cocaine in her pocket.

Here is here excuse for that:

"I wasn't driving like a maniac. There were paparazzi and their flashes were going off into the window. I tried to turn, then I sped up because they sped up. That's when I hit the tree.

"I just thank God everyone was OK. But it was scary. I had three drinks, at most. I've been stupid and childish and I wasn't thinking."

Lindsay Lohan spent 6 weeks in a Malibu rehab and then was released with an alcohol monitoring bracelet on her ankle. In spite of wearing the device, Lindsay was caught just two weeks later by police, this time with the cocaine in her own pocket. Lindsay was sent to rehab for the third time, this time in a facility in Utah.

Lindsay Lohan now claims that she is fully clean except for the occasional alcoholic beverage, that according to her, she is allowed to have even though she is a recovering addict. She claims to know better now and that she has let go of all the bad influences in her life. Here is one last quote from that intriguing interview:

"I'm allowed to drink now but I know my limits.

"There are certain situations where I have obligations. There's no reason to (drink) because I don't want to feel like s*** in the morning."

The only thing to be said about her claim to be clean is that she only claims she is not doing cocaine, but as far as pain killers, Lindsay makes no comments about that. Just back in Feb. 5, Lindsay Lohan was photographed in Heathrow airport carrying a prescription bottle with alleged pain killers. Lindsay denies all the rumors and says that she was given the medication since her last stint in rehab.
