Simon Cowell Does Not Want Stern for Idol

There have been so many rumors floating around that Howard Stern was going to be taking Simon Cowell seat when he leaves American Idol, but according to Simon that is not true at all. Not only is not true, he doesn't think that Howard Stern is the right candidate for the job. "You've just got to know what you're talking about," he said. "We have to have people on these shows who actually know what they're talking about, rather than just guessing. They've really got to have experience, so that they can not just criticize, but offer constructive advice as well." Ouch! is that a jab at Howard Stern. I would think Howard being a radio personality for so long gives him enough musical experience to give an opinion, however I do agree that he is just not the right person for the show. As far as Madonna doing it, Simon says that her schedule is too busy for the show. In a surprising nod of approval, Simon says that he believes celebrity blogger Perez Hilton could be a good fit because he has his own music label. We couldn't disagree more, but here is what Simon said about Perez:

"Perez would be funny," Cowell said. "He's got good taste in music, he's got a personality, that could work."
