The showdown between celebrities and paparazzi is coming to a boil and Liev Schriner has joined the ranks of celebrities who attack. Liev and his wife, Naomi Watts decided to have a Malibu beach weekend last week when things went awry and this celebrity couple ended up in a full fledged fight with the paparazzi.

It all began after a day at the beach where they were being photographed all day and didn't seem to mind it. There were a lot of paparazzi present, about 15, when Naomi and Liev frolicked in the beach knowingly that they were being photographed. After a long day, they decided to go to eat at a Greek restaurant where they also knew there would be paparazzi present. This restaurant is along the lines of The Ivy as far as how many paparazzi are present at all times. It is a known hot spot. After arriving at the restaurant, Liev got overly angry when a photog tried to photograph his baby after he was all the way at the top of the stairs. With no warning he raced down the steps, on one good leg, and shoved a paparazzo who was trying to take a picture of a fully covered up baby. After trying to go after the photogs wife, he then went on a rampage to attack any other paparazzi near him. After the incident, the paparazzi got angry, and proceeded to verbally attack Liev as he exited the restaurant.

Although I don't agree with the reaction of the paparazzi towards Liev, I don't think it was at all right for Liev to physically attack a paparazzi who is taking his picture. He and his wife decided on their own to go to a paparazzi hot spot where they knew they were going to be photographed. To top things off, they bring their baby along who was just born, of course the paparazzi are going to take pictures of the baby. They put themselves in this predicament, not the paparazzi. If they didn't want to be photographed they should have had the food delivered. The restaurant is only about 15 min from where they were earlier in the day. The paparazzi in return should have been more responsible and professional and not taunted him as he exited the restaurant. In either case, both parties should have known that what happened was bound to happen. As much as celebrities should expect to be photographed if there's a public interest in them, paparazzi should know that they will encounter crabby celebrities who don't want to be photographed.

Final Verdict: Both parties are guilty!
