Chic or Not? Cropped Sweaters

The latest fashion trend on the red carpet is the cropped sweater that was so popular back in the early 90's. 

The cropped sweater of yesteryear is worn a bit different than it was in the 90's, the full abs aren't shown, but only a peek of skin in shown whether you're wearing a mini skirt or a longer skirt.

Scarlett Johansson showed off the newest fashion trend while doing a red carpet for Soda Stream by wearing a cropped long-sleeve sweater with a grey tweed skirt that just covered her midriff and gave a slight peek of her toned abs.  She finished her look with delicate strappy heels and pulled her hair back for a classy look.

Sexy pop tart, Miley Cyrus wore the fashion trend in an edgier sexier way for the grand opening of Beacher's Madhouse at the MGM grand and showed off a lot more skin than Scarlett Johansson.

Miley Cyrus wore her skin colored cropped sweater with a skin-tight little black dress that had straps and paired it with plaid heels.  Although her look is edgier, it is hot if you have the body to wear it.

To try out this fashion trend no matter your age, make sure that the sweater is a long-sleeved sweater in a neutral color and that it gives a glimpse of skin and doesn't display more than an 1-inch of bare skin.

Wear neutral make-up to classy up the look like Scarlett's bronzed eyelids and mauve lips and make sure you pick shoes that are closed-toe.  Otherwise you might end up looking cheaper than you intended.

If you're going to a club and are under 35, by all means get sexy like Miley Cyrus.  Just be ready for the non-stop dirty looks from other girls who are jealous of you're absolute fabulous self.  Just make sure your muffin-top isn't what's on display but you're wonderful fashion sense.
