Singer Cher has revealed that a) she could of slept with Elvis Presley and b) she is scared of the mean-spirited paparazzi. Cher claims that she is scared of the paparazzi, that she doesn't know if they [paparazzi] are going to kidnap her or take her picture:
“I hate it,” Cher said of paparazzi attention.
“It’s sometimes really scary… for that moment you feel so vulnerable because you’re not sure if they’re going to kidnap you, kill you or take your picture. And they’re so mean-spirited. It’s not like it was when I first started.”
Oh gosh! You would think the woman would be thankful that she has any paparazzi attention at all. Which, actually, she doesn't. Sure, any paparazzi including myself would photograph Cher if they somehow ran into her, but being chased? I don't think so.
Cher is such old news that truly the paparazzi could care less what she is doing unless she is walking around naked. I hate when celebrities claim to be harassed by the paparazzi, when in fact, they are not. They try to make themselves seem still relevant by claiming that they are hounded constantly by the paparazzi.
If she wants to know what getting hounded by the paparazzi is, ask Britney Spears, she will tell you. As far as the claim that paparazzi are 'mean-spirited'. I take huge offense to that. Yes! they're some pretty awful paparazzi out there, but there are pretty awful police officers, political figures, and celebrities (Um? can I mention the name Mel Gibson). To call a cluster of people 'mean-spirited' is stereotyping. Cher, you should know that's a no-no no matter who the people are!
