Jessica Simpson Announces She is Enganged Days After Ex Does

Image via WikipediaSinger Jessica Simpson was reported to have been upset that her ex-husband, Nick Lachey, had popped the question to longtime girlfriend Vanessa Minnillo.  
Now it seems the starlet has nothing to be upset about because she herself has gotten engaged just 10 days after Nick and Vanessa announced their engagement. Coincidence? You be the judge.

It seems obvious that Jessica's boyfriend, NFL player Eric Johnson, felt bad that Jessica was upset about her ex popping the question to his new love, so he gave Jessica what she wanted, an engagement ring.  
Perhaps the two love birds are madly in love, and it is just one huge coincidence that Jessica announced she is also getting married days after Nick Lachey did.
