Italy Fuming Over Reality Show 'Jersey Shore'

Image via WikipediaItalian people might like their wine and pasta but they certainly don't like the cast of reality show "The Jersey Show".  The popular American show has just come off it's 3rd successful season on MTV and has now headed overseas to Europe and Italy.  Instead of being thrilled that Italians are having such a mega-hit show, the Italian people are very upset that this is the representation they are getting worldwide thanks to Snooki, the Situation and the rest of the cast. 


 Italians feels like 'Jersey Shore' represents all the bad stereotypes of Italians and will also make Americans look even worse overseas. A representative for the largest Italian American organization UNICO exclaimed "It will not only hurt Italians but all Americans … their outrageous, reprehensible behavior will make us look like buffoons and bimbos."

Needles to say, Italians are not happy that the show is going to be filmed in the old country and are protesting against it. It will be interesting to see the welcoming the 'Jersey Shore' cast gets when they being filming their uber popular show.
