The Beckham's Staying in Los Angeles!

Angelenos rejoice, the Beckhams are staying in Los Angeles and not moving to Paris as originally thought.

Soccer player extraordinaire, David Beckham, has turned down a lucrative deal with Paris Saint-Germain that would have paid him double the amount he got with the Galaxy.

That's an approximate base pay of 13 million dollars per year.  David got a base pay of 6.5 million with the Galaxy.

David Beckham and his famous family made their pilgrimage to Los Angeles in 2007 after he left his team in Madrid.

 He then was paid to be the savior of the Los Angeles Galaxy Soccer team, but an injury early on didn't allow him to play the first season.

David Beckhham made up for lost time, however, when he took his team to victory and won the coveted MLS cup last November.

To the Galaxy's dismay, David's 7 year contract was up right after winning the cup and many different teams showed interest in taking him over.

David and Victoria thought long and hard about it during their holiday break in England, and they ultimately decided to stay put in Los Angeles.

It looks like we will still get our Beckham fix here in Los Angeles after all.
