Model/blogger Lauren Scruggs was mutilated by a plane propeller as
she exited a plane, and it was unclear at the time who was at fault for the accident. Now the NTBS has come out with a preliminary report and it seems Lauren
was the one that is responsible for her bad luck.
The pilot reports that when they landed, he left the propeller on because he was expecting another group of people to go check out the city lights. The pilot expected to have a friend at the airport to help him deplane but the friend was not present upon arrival.
The pilot claims that as soon as he opened the door, Lauren Scruggs began to exit the plane. Upon noticing that she was getting out the wrong way, he verbally told her and put his arm out directing Lauren to get out via the back. When he felt Lauren was safe, he put his arm down.
He then directed his attention to the left window to talk about his next trip, within seconds he heard someone scream "STOP, STOP" and he immediately shut his engine off. He then noticed Lauren lying on the ground.
Both the NTBS and Lauren's family do not blame the pilot. It should be known that the pilot was a friend of the family.
Lauren Scruggs seems to be doing well taking everything into consideration. She recently made her first blog post since the accident-
i don’t know how to thank each one of you, properly, for so much love during this difficult incident in my life. my heart is so grateful beyond what i could ever imagine. so thank you dearly for the sweet encouragements, the precious words in letters and messages, the beautiful grace in pretty presents, but mostly i am so SO thankful for you and your loving hearts and sweet spirits. i wonderfully know that we are all so adored by the amazing and powerful Lord, and nothing is greater than walking in His planned-out lives. Jesus Christ is imaginably glorious and worthy of all praise even in the hardest moments. love, lo
Keep up the great attitude Lauren. =)
