Halle Berry Uses Paparazzi to her Favor

(Los Angeles, CA) Actress Halle Berry has been known to have a distaste for the paparazzi, but now it seems the shutter bugs might be her ticket to Paris.

Halle Berry has run out of reasons to run away with Nahla to France, so she is using her last ditch effort and using the paparazzi to her favor.  According to Halle Berry she feels like she is so threatened by the paparazzi taking her picture that she feels her life and Nahla's is in danger.

She has even subpoenaed paparazzo Andrew Deetz to testify on her behalf since she had a very public verbal fight with him after he and many other paparazzi took pictures of her picking up Nahla from school.

Halle Berry even has gotten famous friend Salma Hayek to testify in her favor since Salma lives with her daughter in Paris and claims since they have tougher paparazzi laws out there, Halle Berry's life wont be in jeopardy.

Here is the catch: there are many more celebrities that get pursued by the paparazzi more than Halle Berry, and although they might not always like the constant attention, they are not claiming their lives are in danger.  For example, Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck receive double the amount of attention Halle Berry receives on a daily basis and they have not made such a claim.

On individual basis, yes, when things get out of hand because a few paparazzi multiplies into 20, this is when the Afflecks have asked for a police escort. Otherwise, on their daily lives, as much as they might hate the constant attention, they just deal with it.

Another point against Halle Berry's claim is that she could move anywhere in middle America and the paparazzi would not pursue her to the middle of the country unless she did something controversial or newsworthy. Halle Berry owns two homes in Los Angeles, one smack in the middle of paparazzi haven Hollywood and the other in the other paparazzi hot spot Malibu.  Even if she didn't move to the middle of America, she could buy a home far away from these paparazzi hot spots and the attention would decrease significantly.

By the way, paparazzi still take photos in France even though they have tougher anti-paparazzi laws. The reason Salma Hayek is not pursued as much there is because the public interest is no longer there.  Case in point - Elton John and David Furnish were just shot there on August 10 and so was Jason Stathem, and Vanessa Paradis on a family vacation.
