The trouble began for the actress when she went to a high-end jewelry shop where she was planing to buy a $3000 ring. Lindsay allegedly showed up to the jewelry shop where she tried on the necklace but never took it off. Only when she left, did the employees find out that the one-of-a-kind necklace was missing from the display.
Lindsay Lohan and her lawyer fired back, saying that the jewelry shop had given permission to Lindsay to have as a loner, but the jewelry shop denies such accusations. Claiming that in order for a client to receive anything of the sort, they must fill out required paper work and go through procedures that Lindsay did not do.
After an investigation was begun, Lindsay Lohan returned the necklace to the jewelry shop via her assistant claiming that she was just returning what she had borrowed. However, the store and police had something else to say, pressing charges against Lindsay for felony grand theft charge. This, plus Lindsay's clear violation of probation, could send her to jail for several years.
She is definitely not catching a break from Judge Keith L. Schwartz, who warned Lindsay:
"You're in a different situation now with a felony," said the judge to Lindsay
"You're no different than anyone else," he added. "So please, don't push your luck."
Judge Schwartz made it loud and clear, that if Lindsay is to do anything while awaiting trial, she will be placed in jail without the ability to bail out. Right now Lindsay's bail is set at $40,000. Let's hope Lindsay can keep hersticky fingers hands to herself.
