Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin Separate After a Decade Together

(Los Angeles, CA) Actress, Gwyneth Paltrow, and 'Coldplay's' singer, Chris Martin, have decided to separate after over a decade of being together.

The often secretive couple battled rumors of trouble in paradise for a long time but this is the first time the famous couple has decided to go public about it.

The announcement came via Gwyneth Paltrow's often criticized blog, Goop, where she place it as an article rather than making a big deal about it.

Gwyneth and Chris are so into the new this new way of thinking about separation that Chris allegedly gave Gwyneth a separation gift - a painting of a bird in flight to signify their next chapter in their lives.

The idea behind 'conscious uncoupling' is that we live much longer lives now and the thought of staying with one person for 50 years seems antiquated.  With the era of the Internet and the accessibility to so many different kinds of people from all different kinds backgrounds - the flavors at the ice cream shop are endless and we aren't wired to only enjoy one flavor of ice cream for that long.
