Coroner: Whitney Died of Overdose not Drowning

(Los Angeles, CA) The Los Angeles Coroner has released Whitney Houston's body and is reportedly telling her family that Whitney did not drown like once thought, but she died of a lethal cocktail of RX drugs and alcohol.

After examining Whitney's body, the Los Angeles Coroner officials are telling the family that she did not have enough water in her lungs to have died of a drowning but rather the combination of Xanax, alcohol and other drugs may have lead to her demise.  Radar Online is reporting that officials told them- "a plethora of sedatives including Lorazepam, Valium, Xanax, and a sleeping medication that was found in her hotel room [Whitney's]".

According to TMZ,  Whitney was not found by her hairdresser, but was found by her aunt Mary Jones who found her in the tub after returning and seeing that Whitney had not touched the dress she had laid out for her an 1 hour after doing so.  She was the one that administered CPR and not her bodyguard like first reported.

It seems celebrities are dropping like flies to the "legal" addiction to prescription medicine which they are receiving at the hands of their doctors.  Long gone are the seedy, underground clubs were celebrities used to go to get their fix, now they just have to go to their local pharmacy.  Getting prescription medications is like getting candy for celebrities, and no one looks down on them because they are given to them by their own health providers.

The list of of celebrities who have died in the last 5 years due to prescription drugs is extensive.  Now Whitney Houston just became one more in the list that includes, Amy Winehouse, Michael Jackson and Britney Murphy among many others.

It's time to put a stop to being able to get dangerous prescriptions at our local pharmacies.  There should be an extensive list of criteria requirements someone must go through before they are prescribed the powerful legal narcotics that are not only killing celebrities but our families.
