Singer Beyonce and hubby Jay Z have outsmarted the paparazzi by releasing the first pictures of their adorable baby Blue Ivy Carter before the shutterbugs could get to it first.
Beyonce is seen gleaming with delight as she is holding on to her sweet Blue Ivy wearing blue nail polish. Next is a series of pictures of the baby girl who has a full head of hair at just over a month old.
Papa Jay Z is also seen holding Blue Ivy with the biggest grin on his face, a proud daddy for sure.
It's too hard to tell who the baby resembles the most but it's no doubt she is beautiful.
Beyonce and Jay Z are jumping on the recent celebrity bandwagon of posting pictures of their babies online, under their own terms, before the media can get them first.
Two other famous couples who have done the same are Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon and Victoria Beckham and David Beckham.
Although celebrities take a big chunk of money the paparazzi would be getting for the initial shot of their babies, they add a lifetime of interest from the public, defeating the purpose of releasing pictures so the paparazzi interest will die down. If the public wants Blue Ivy Carter, the paparazzi will follow Blue Ivy Carter.
