Actor Corey Haim was one of the biggest stars in the 80's, if not the biggest, and now he has lost his life to a battle with drugs that plagued him most of his life. Corey Haim was best known for his role in the movie the Lost Boys (first uber famous vampire flick) where he became a teen sensation over night. With all his success, Corey Haim also suffered at the hands of the people around him, even enduring sexual abuse by someone very close to him.Ever since his fame whittled away, Corey became extremely depressed and became even more addicted to prescription drugs then he ever was. He yo-yo dieted and abused drugs to the point no one wanted to work with him. Corey Haim even got a second chance at fame, when a few years ago Corey Haim was asked to come back for the long awaited sequel to the Lost Boys but he blew it by being high on set and not being able to remember his lines. The sequel was a complete bust and Corey Haim's fame faded back into the background.
As of late, Corey Haim seemed to be doing just fine and even seemed sober and ready to make the changes necessary to revive his career. Unfortunately, Corey would never see that great comeback he dreamed about because he died at his mothers apartment today March 10, 2010 of unknown reasons. Although Corey seemed to be on the right track and sober, there were 4 prescription bottles found close to him. He had been suffering from flu-like symptoms and was at his mom's house recuperating. It appears that Corey knew something was terribly wrong when he went to his mothers room and collapsed right in front of her before dying. The ambulance was called but it was too late. May Corey Haim finally get the peace of mind that eluded him so much in life.
