Was the countdown to the Olsen Twins 18th birthday a let down?

It's been 4 years since the much anticipated 18th birthday for the Olsen's twins, and the day has come and gone and their has been nothing from the twins. Many people in the industry thought the girls would have a flourishing career once they were adults but the oppisite took effect. Their fan base grew up and just simply did not like who they became. Been so camera shy also didn't help the matters. Where Lindsay Lohan, Paris and Nicole Richie were covering the pages of the celebrity glossies, the twins were not to be seen. Their projects failed and neither has yet made a memorable movie role. Hopefully the girls are just going through a growing phase in their life and their come back is just around the corner.
