Kate Hudson: "I am engaged!'

Image via WikipediaActress Kate Hudson was gloating on the Today show with Matt Lauer, not just because of her pregnancy, but because she just became engaged to The Muse band lead singer Matt Bellamy.

Kate couldn't hide her excitement as she talked to Matt, giggling most of the interview.  She confessed that she has been engaged for a week but has not told the media because she finds it silly to make the big announcement.  Instead, she wore the ring and waited for someone in the media to notice it.

Kate Hudson also talked about being pregnant and not knowing what sex the baby is but having a hunch that it's going to be a girl.  How? she has been using old folk methods to figure of the sex of the baby like "the pendulum".   


Kate Hudson admitted that "the pendulum" made circles around her pregnant belly, signifying that it's a girl.  She also believes the sex to be a girl because the baby is very active, always dancing and moving in her belly.  It reminds her of her mom Goldie Hawn whom is always on the go.  


During the interview Kate told Matt, "she is so nuts in here, she is so wild!" and said that she most likely had a lot of "Hawn" in her.


When asked about who she was engaged to, Kate Hudson gloated "Matt Bellamy.  He is a beautiful man. I'm excited!"


Kate Hudson's famous parents, Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell (not Kate's biological dad but she considers him her dad), have famously never been married but have managed to stay together for ages.  Kate had said before that she didn't need to be married to Matt, that they had just jumped ahead to the good part of a marriage.  However, now that she is engaged, it is obvious that Kate Hudson couldn't be happier to be heading into a marriage with her baby's dad, Matt Bellamy.
